According to www.dictionary.com, it is pronounced " 'rA-"kE and the origin is Japanese rei 'universal energy' + ki 'life force'; developed in the early 1900's by Mikao Usui in Japan." This technique improves mind, body and soul in animals and humans. Although some people think this modality is massage, it is not, but often times it is incorporated in massage. Energy is transferred from the practitioner’s fixed and still hands to the patient, whereas massage is the kneading or rubbing of muscles or body parts. You may consider this natural therapy for your pet to reduce stress, relieve pain, increase relaxation or has a physical ailment. How does animal healing with energy work? The practitioner places their hands and fixes them on precise chakra points of the body with the focus to restore balance by stimulating constant flow from one point to another. Their healing energy work permeates through their hands into your pet. What are chakras? Chakras are the points of energy in your pet. While there are many, the seven main ones are root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and the crown. The chakra points are found mid-body. They are connected to their physical and emotional health. While not all animal auras are colorful, the main chakra energy centers are associated with a color.
