An animal lover is one you can trust!
The volunteers in this group are amazing. We do everything we can to help the dogs we rescue and find them a loving home. All the volunteers get so attached to the dogs we take in, but knowing that they are going to caring wonderful home is all that matters. My husband, another animal lover, and I have been a foster family. I say that in the past tense because now that we have adopted two of the dogs we fostered, our house is not equipped to foster more than two dogs.
Working with these dogs is so rewarding. All I can think about is waking up every morning and making a difference in a dog's life with love, attention while improving their well-being. My volunteer work motivated me to think of careers that would fulfill my passion and discovered animal massage. Animal massage is a perfect match for me because I strongly believe that massage, along with other holistic therapies, is so beneficial for large breed dogs, especially as they get older. My goal is to start an animal holistic wellness rehabilitation center that includes therapies such as, massage, acupuncture, chiropractic and hydro therapy. I am sure it will evolve as time goes by to include other therapies. Another part of my wellness center will be kennels for WAMAL dogs that are not in foster homes. The idea of this website was inspired by my passion and goal. Since I do not a have a wellness center yet, the next best thing is this holistic website! Thanks for Visiting!

Hi! My name is Misty and I am an animal lover. My passion is working with large breed dogs. I volunteer with a dog rescue group called WAMAL (Washington Alaskan Malamute Adoption League), 
Our dogs, Toby and Meika, are awesome and keep us laughing! We do not know what we would do without them. Toby entered our family when he was three months old and Meika when she was about three years old.
